You may find when you are trying to connect to your VPN client that you receive an error of :

Failed To Attach To Key Daemon




This implies core Shrew VPN files are not running or are broken. The easiest solution to this issue is to reinstall (if rebooting does not fix). See below for reinstall instructions:


Uninstall

0. Log into the personal profile


1. Press Start


2. Press the gear icon in the start menu


3. Click 'Apps'

4. Scroll down the list to find Shrew Soft VPN(or search for it) then left click it

5. Once highlighted, click the Uninstall button


6. Run through the on screen instructions to finish the uninstallation.


7. Reboot the PC


Install


1. Go to Download Shrewsoft VPN, download and run the file (You may be asked by Windows if you are sure you want to run the file - Click Yes)


2. Click 'Next'


3. Click 'Standard Edition' option then click 'Next'


4. Click 'I Agree'


5. Click 'Next'


6. Click 'Next'


7. Click 'Finish'
